AI CodeOps

Frequently asked questions

Short answers about AI CodeOps: what it does, what it costs in the open beta, which Git hosts and models it supports, and how it handles your code and data.

Short answers to the questions people ask most. Each links to the page with the details.

Product

AI CodeOps runs in your browser. Agents plan, build, review and test a change in a session; you review it and approve it before a pull request is opened. Start with the Quickstart, then read about Sessions and Quality gates.

Cost

The open beta is free, with a monthly token allowance on the platform's models. See Pricing, Models and tiers and Cost controls.

Security and data

Your code is read through the Git account you connect, tests run in isolated sandboxes, and secrets are encrypted at rest. See Security, the Trust page and Data retention and deletion.

Enterprise

SSO, custom roles and self-hosted deployment are Enterprise options. See Single sign-on, Self-hosted deployment and the Enterprise page.

Frequently asked questions

What is AI CodeOps?

A browser-based platform where AI agents plan, build, review and test code changes, and a change only becomes a pull request after its quality gates pass and a person approves it.

Does AI CodeOps cost anything?

Not during the open beta. It is free to use, with a monthly allowance of AI tokens on the platform's models. Nothing is charged unless you choose a plan.

Do I need to install anything?

No. AI CodeOps runs in the browser and sessions run on the platform. There is no CLI or desktop app.

Which Git hosts does it work with?

GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Gitea and Forgejo, including self-managed GitLab, Gitea and Forgejo servers reachable over HTTPS.

Can I use my own model provider key?

Yes. Anthropic, OpenAI, Moonshot (Kimi), Z.ai (GLM), DeepSeek, Groq, OpenRouter and Ollama Cloud keys can run sessions. Your provider bills you for them.

Will AI CodeOps push code without a person checking it?

No. Every code change waits for an approved review and passing quality gates before AI CodeOps opens a pull request.

Where do sessions run?

On the platform, not on your computer. When a session runs your tests, it runs them in an isolated sandbox container with restricted network access.

Is my code used to train AI models?

AI CodeOps doesn't use your content to train or fine-tune AI models. The model provider that runs a session processes it under its own API terms.

Where is my data stored?

AI CodeOps's servers and database are in the United States. Service providers and their regions are listed on the Trust page.

Is AI CodeOps SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certified?

Not yet. The Trust page lists the controls in place today and the subprocessors used.

Does AI CodeOps support single sign-on?

Yes, on the Enterprise plan, with SAML 2.0 or OpenID Connect.

Can I run AI CodeOps on my own infrastructure?

Only as an Enterprise option, on request. Self-hosted Enterprise installs run on your Kubernetes cluster.

How do I stop AI spend from running away?

Set a workspace cost budget with a hard limit, and per-workflow caps if you need them. Sessions stop once spend passes the hard limit.

How do I get help?

Choose Help in any workspace to ask the Help assistant or open a ticket. Not signed in? Email [email protected].
