AI CodeOps is in open beta. These are the answers to the questions people ask most about it. For prices and plans, see [Pricing](https://aicodeops.dev/pricing).

## What's free during the beta?

Using AI CodeOps. You can run AI sessions on GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Gitea or Forgejo repositories, with tests, AI review, approvals and quality gates, and track cost per session. There is nothing to install: it runs in your browser and sessions run on the platform.

## How much AI usage is included?

Sessions on the platform's models draw on a monthly token allowance (input plus output tokens). The allowance is set per model tier: Economy, Standard and Premium. The [pricing page](https://aicodeops.dev/pricing) shows the current amounts. They are read from the same settings the platform enforces.

The allowance:

- is shared by every workspace owned by the same account;
- starts again on the 1st of each month (UTC);
- is shown under **Measure → Usage**, in **AI allowance this month**.

When you start a session, the **Model tier** list shows what's left in each tier, or "not in your plan" for a tier your plan doesn't include. See [Models and tiers](https://aicodeops.dev/docs/models).

## What happens when the allowance runs out?

If the workspace has credits, the session continues on them. Otherwise it stops and says what ran out, for example "Monthly free allowance used". A session never switches to another tier on its own. To keep going, you can:

- start the session on another tier;
- add credits on the **Billing** page;
- connect your own model provider key.

## Can I use my own model key?

Yes. Workspace admins can add a provider key on the workspace **Dashboard**, under **Bring Your Own Key**. Anthropic, OpenAI, Moonshot (Kimi), Z.ai (GLM), DeepSeek, Groq, OpenRouter and Ollama Cloud keys can run sessions.

Sessions on your own key are billed by your provider and don't use the platform allowance. They still count toward your workspace's [cost budget](https://aicodeops.dev/docs/cost-controls). Keys are encrypted at rest and shown masked.

## How is my code and data handled?

- **Training.** Your prompts, code and generated output are never used to train AI models. They are sent to the model provider that runs your session, only to run it.
- **Where code runs.** Your tests and every terminal run in their own sandboxed containers, with outbound network access restricted.
- **Separation.** Workspaces are kept apart in the database, so one workspace can't read another's data.
- **Secrets.** Workspace secrets, provider keys and Git tokens are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM).
- **Your data.** You can export your account data, or delete your account, from your account settings in the console.

The companies that process data for us are listed on the [trust page](https://aicodeops.dev/trust). Retention periods are in the privacy policy. More on [Security](https://aicodeops.dev/security).

## Is there an uptime guarantee?

Not during the beta. An uptime SLA will be published at general availability. Live service health is on the status page.

## What happens after the beta?

Paid plans will be announced before the beta ends, with notice to every workspace. Nothing is charged unless you choose a plan. Prices haven't been announced yet.

## What about Enterprise?

Enterprise is for organisations that need identity, audit and governance controls. It adds:

- single sign-on with SAML or OIDC;
- custom roles and separation-of-duties roles;
- longer audit log retention;
- self-hosted deployment on request, for Enterprise customers who need AI CodeOps on their own infrastructure.

Enterprise is priced per seat. See [Enterprise](https://aicodeops.dev/enterprise) or the [Enterprise docs](https://aicodeops.dev/docs/enterprise).
